  1. Avoid going barefoot

Walking barefoot is a delight and some people won’t trade it for anything. We understand, after all, the feeling of freedom in the feet and being able to feel the ground is great.

However, this is not a very skin-friendly practice for your feet. First, they increase the risks of injuring or causing wounds. And, secondly, by the drying of the skin that, consequently, generates cracks.

It is important to remember that this does not mean that you should constantly wear shoes, because taking off your feet helps to relax them and also stimulates the muscles in the region.

The tip is to know how to dose and not be excessively barefoot. Take a few moments for this, but give preference to the use of comfortable and soft shoes to stay at home, such as flip-flops and slippers. To clear the rough skin under the feet, use best foot file daily.

  1. Put your feet up

Putting your legs up is super beneficial and prevents the appearance of varicose veins, fluid retention and still provides relaxation. Therefore, it is not only important for aesthetic reasons, but for health.

To take care of your feet, just take 15 minutes out of your day and elevate your legs at hip height (that is, support them on a stool while sitting) or, if you prefer, lie on the bed and support your limbs on the floor.

  1. Prepare a foot bath

Have you ever heard of footbath? Despite being a technique that is estimated to have existed for 6,000 years, including this process in the routine has been gaining ground again. It consists of immersing the feet in a basin of hot water with some components that can be plants, salt and others.

The foot bath brings a range of benefits, such as foot (and mind) relaxation, deep cleansing, treatment of ringworm, leg pain, flu and colds, circulation problems, among others.

The technique is part of traditional Chinese medicine and it is believed that the foot bath brings the balance of the body’s energies, being great to help people with depression, anxiety and insomnia.

  1. Exfoliate your feet

Exfoliation is another foot care to include in your routine. Very simple and quick, it can be done during the bath, in a few minutes, up to twice a week.

You can opt for homemade recipes, but if you prefer, it is worth investing in exfoliating products, which can be found at pharmacies or cosmetics stores.

After the exfoliation process, which consists of applying the product and massaging, dead cells and dry skin will be removed, bringing the sensation of soft and smooth feet.

Remember to pay special attention to the heel, which is usually the area that suffers the most from dryness and cracks.
