Understanding How Amazon FBA Label Work

Amazon FBA Label Work

Amazon is amongst the most well-known brands on the planet. FBA, which stands for Fulfillment by Amazon, is one of the features they provide to customers. FBA operates like this: you give your product to Amazon to sell, and Amazon holds it in one of their facilities, handling the packaging and delivery when a customer buys the product. FBA Masterclass can also be a great help in this business.

Customers can become sellers using this service without the headaches of online selling and with the added benefit of being affiliated with a firm with a well-known brand and millions of customers. Amazon FBA fees are minimal but the benefits are many.

This software has a great deal of information and details, which can make new customers feel confused. Don’t worry if you can’t afford Amazon FBA coaching; in this tutorial, we’ll look at how to properly label and pack the items you’ll be sent to Amazon to assist you to get through this time-consuming procedure.

What is Amazon FBA Label?

When using FBA to fulfill orders, you must properly label the items you’re shipping. This is because Amazon operates on a barcode-based system, and if you don’t have a good way to label your products, Amazon won’t be able to send the proper order to the right client.

A barcode is required for every item shipped to Amazon via FBA. Amazon usually requires two components to identify products. However, you can skip the FNSKU label if you’re using the FBA label service.

  • UPC (Unique Product Code)/Manufacturer Barcode

It is a unique product code that is assigned by Amazon itself. If your product has a UPC barcode that there is no need to label it again before shipping to the Amazon warehouse. Amazon has a system in place to notify the seller when a shipment with UPC is made. When this particular product sells, Amazon will link it to your account and credit you.

  • Amazon’s FNSKU Label

FNSKU label is a requirement by Amazon FBA if your product is not eligible for UPC. The Fulfillment Network Stock Keeping Unit (FNSKU) is a one-of-a-kind identification that can only be used by Amazon. This alphanumeric label is used by Amazon to track items in their warehouse and connect the products with specific sellers. The FNSKU label is unique to each seller and product. Amazon gives credit to their seller when their labeled product is sold.

How to Use the Amazon FNSKU Label?

Amazon FNSKU Label

On Amazon’s menu, there are many different types of FNSKU label specifications. Vendors can choose one type of FBA label for their items. The kind of goods marketed can easily be identified by reading labels. “40-up labels 52.5 mm x 29.7 mm on A4” is the most used and popular label for Amazon products.

You must follow all the requirements and criteria set by Amazon FBA since it’s run on barcodes, not following the criteria can create problems for you. Amazon assigns each product its own unique FNSKU code so no two products can be mixed. It’s a critical practice to keep the customers and sellers satisfied. So, when someone places an order, only the product that belongs to that specific store or store owner would be sent to the customer.

An Amazon label must include the following elements:

  • A Barcode or FNSKU number
  • Name of the product you are selling.
  • The product’s current state (eg: either old or new)
  • Each one contains a barcode that may be scanned.

Black ink should be used to print Amazon labels and have a height and width of 1-2 inches and 2-3 inches, respectively. The labels must also be printed on non-reflective surfaces that have self-adhesive.

Types of FNSKU Label

There are three major types of FNSKU labels:

  • Bought as a Pair Label: Items that are bought as a pair must not be separated and purchased individually. On their outer container, such products must be tagged and branded as a pair.
  • Suffocation Labels: All plastic bags must be kept far from the reach of newborns and kids to prevent any risk of suffocation. These packs should not be used in mattresses, cars, or playpens.
  • Delivery Labels: Delivery labels are tags that must be pasted on the product’s packaging for Amazon to be aware of shipment specifics. In the vendor’s system, these delivery labels can be produced in a new shipping plan.
